Astonishing Post Office cover.........

Portsmouth CDS.

Portsmouth has monumental links with Literary Authors - Dickins was born there in 1812, Kipling lived there 1871-1877 and Conan-Doyle wrote his Holmes novels there.... Then Keats (3p) stayed here in 1820 before sailing to Italy where he later died.... Walter Scott (79p) also had maritime links to Portsmouth & Thomas Gray (5p) often visited Portsdown Hill, just above Portsmouth.... So a Bonkers CDS !!
